What we believe
vision
Colossians 1:27-29 Having known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory,Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily. (taken from the King James Version)
Tenets of the Revival Church
Welcomes Any One
Disciples the willing
Send out the called
Talks more about things from above that will manage things here on earth,
even that of below where it is really really hot.
Repentance Leads to Rest
This can be huge, depending on your ability to
comprehend and assimilate.
Repentance is often seen by most theologians as a foundational step in Christendom
Needs to be looked into with clarity and concern; regarding the truth that needs to be understood.
Repentance without purpose is dead or part of dead works as we see in Scripture.
The Purpose is in following the Lord and His Word.
Repentance
Repentance is the act of coming before God, acknowledging shortcomings as are known to us.
Repentance is the act of coming before God and acknowledging our shortcomings before Him.
Theologians, among other things, differ on its timing as to whether it is once for all, forever, or just for a time.
All of this can be true and false at the same time.
What matters is the spirit that will influence us.
As mentioned before, repentance brings us to God on His terms which we agree on.
Biblical examples show these acts of God as good things to emulate.
Faith
Faith in its fulness talks about the fulness of God.
Faith simply means holding on to Him in our darkest hour.
He is always there for us.
Let’s look at this together,
When we talk about faith we could be referring to trust.
Are they different? Yes !; they could be and yet they could be the same.
Trust includes confidence in something or someone.
Faith to us is something more ;
We pray and ask for Faith and stand to receive it, whoever.
Ask and you shall receive says the Lord.
….Our experience is that He will us give more than what we ask
Baptism
Baptism is a matter agreed upon by all Christians’ whether you dip completely
or baby baptisms as are known as christening in many circles.
1. Scripturally Baptism among other things is a total surrender, it talks about new birth, it announces the birth of Christ in us, and we announce that to the world. Baptism is not for church membership or else but a transaction that happens inside a man's heart followed by his inner conviction to accept Christ in all His claim and totality.
Faith does not keep us from the development of the Godly act of baptism, we have seen and heard men receiving their inner conviction during the act.
2 Other forms of baptisms held all over are confined to baby baptisms or with similar views.
As spiritual growth occurs and His disciples mature, they will find what to learn and teach. understanding and maturity.
May the Lord Himself Lead and Bless you in this. Amen.
Growth
Bible reading
is a simple matter and well attended to if we heed as below.
-
Read as you see large portions without giving heed to meditation. This enables our hearts and our minds to purify, cleanse, etc as it will.
Please note that our hearts are at a stage of total renewal, precisely.
A new birth as mentioned before is taking place and requires much attention.
Larger portions read intelligently; and without much meditation, should be our goal.
Having said that we do not advocate a lack of meditation.
But rather that our focus should be as mentioned above; yes, large portions.
As we do so the Lord is faithful in giving us words that may arrest our attention: there we do as are led.
2. Ministry of the Spirit and of the letter.
What motivates us matter
We are not against Bible colleges
only that they refrain from,
We are not against Bible colleges
only that they refrain from,
1. Worldly Teachings.
2. Teachers who have no knowledge of God.
3. Misinformation.
4. Being run-of-the-mill, stereo-type-like structures,
institutionalized and no place for the good Lord.
Prayer Prayer is speaking to Him(also).
We speak to Him knowing He is listening.
Jesus taught us what prayer should not be and then led us his disciples to pray a simple prayer.
Will, he not direct you and me to love him as deep as we can in prayer as well?
Yoga and such exercises may relax the human body to some extent but spiritual prayer owes nothing to figures, postures, etc.
Some have known the freedom of praying while traveling while having a good time with family and so on; yes, the list is endless.
Holy Spirit
Jesus Manifested His Glory By Baptizing His Disciples with the Holy Spirit and Power.
We believe that too.
We need it for all matters relating to Our Walk with God.
Liberty
Galatians 5:1
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
We agree with all commonly accepted and approved tenets by Pentecostal Churches all over though you might find us differing in very small details.
We stand in the Liberty of Christ; Galatians 5:1 and 13. and keep ourselves from falling ...(by faith we stand in this grace)
The Great Commission
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in the earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Discipling the nations and disciplining the nations to bear fruit
requires the send-out ones themselves to be disciplined.
Bible colleges and similar Godly structures were raised up for this....purpose.
To go into the whole world as Jesus taught was a challenge then.
The Jewish world as we know wanted no issues with the gentile world as was known then.
Two categories existed then: In some parts, the Jewish law was practiced and in some places not.
To relate to the non-law-abiding Jews and gentiles; they needed His Authority and His fullness.
He had that authority and He was with them.
He was their Authority both in fulness and in dispensation which they imparted as received... freely.
To this are we also called?
This is not all-inclusive....we learn as we walk with Him.
